Rural affordable housing
A proposed development of 15 sustainable affordable homes in East Cheshire, forming part of a wider masterplan to deliver high-quality rural housing. The scheme includes accessible bungalows alongside two and three-bedroom terraced homes, all designed to achieve EPC A ratings. The architecture responds sensitively to the adjacent village conservation area, with varied house types carefully tailored to different settings and character areas across the site, contributing to a rich and well-considered townscape. The project is due to be submitted for planning in summer 2026.

Rilshaw - Lorry works
A proposed development of 15 affordable homes and 15 affordable maisonette apartments, designed around a high-quality landscaped urban realm that integrates green corridors formed from street trees, SuDS and native planting throughout the site. The architecture draws inspiration from the site’s former industrial character through the use of corrugated metal cladding and distinctive saw-tooth roof forms. The project is due to be submitted for planning in autumn 2026.

Wood's Mews, Mayfair
A bespoke high-end new-build home designed for a private client, carefully integrated within the existing urban context through the use of refined red brick detailing and a restrained material palette. Generous light-filled spaces and carefully considered proportions create a contemporary yet contextual home of lasting quality. The development delivers 50 high-quality private and affordable homes within a landscape-led masterplan of green streets, open spaces and play areas. Designed to strengthen connections with the surrounding community, the scheme balances density with nature to create a sustainable and well-connected neighbourhood. Contextual architecture, varied streetscapes and integrated public spaces combine to create a distinctive place to live, socialise and thrive.

Redland, Bristol
Internal reconfiguration and retrofit of a compact family home in Redland, designed to improve spatial efficiency and everyday functionality. Studio Ellis + Co reworked the existing layout to create more usable living space and introduce new areas including a dedicated work-from-home space. Fabric and energy upgrades, including an air source heat pump and natural insulation materials, were incorporated to improve thermal comfort while reducing embodied carbon impact.

West Hampstead Mews
Situated within a private mews in West London, this project involved the internal reconfiguration and full retrofit of an existing mews house, alongside the addition of a new bedroom and roof terrace. The design enhances the internal living spaces through the introduction of a new façade featuring a rotating timber screen, allowing privacy, shading and natural light to be carefully adjusted throughout the day. This project was led by Nick whilst at Stanesby Architecture.
